This identity for a project by Air, focussed on Kings Cross. The project was designed to build relationships between the various communities using the area - from businesses, students and residents.

The intersecting shapes refer to the radius of the area, which identified participants. The typeface is Condensed Number 7 from the Stephenson Blake Foundry (specimen book D17). The trains from Sheffield, where the foundry was based would have arrived in to Kings Cross.

The logo type and a range of devices were hand drafted using a 0.3mm Rotring pen by architect Yael Gordon. The rendering uses architectural grounds, and the innate irregularity of the marks stops the mark appearing flat, and hints at the participatory nature of the project.
